love fabrics,... just love 'em!

Just Another Sunny Sunday

It's oh so warm here in Phoenix Arizona today at about 95 degrees Fahrenheit. And it's only Spring. I am currently waiting patiently for my Huskylock serger to be serviced and maintenanced. After a horrible crash to the floor, just late last week, I decided it would be best to take the baby in. Fortunately, it does still work and with just a few minor issues that are fixable. So what happened, you may ask? Well, like a dummy, I leave my sewing machines plugged into the wall and left upon the table that my dog, Meeca, likes to sleep under. Well, there was a knock at the door from UPS and Meeca runs to the door, barking, and dragging my serger along with her because Meeca's tail got caught up in the power cords and thread spools. It was such a sad moment for me. After calming myself down I knew right away that I wanted to take it down to the shop. I am glad I did, but I will be even more happier once I get my baby back. My lesson learned? Yes, please, unplug my machines when I am done sewing.

Kitty Has A Home

Yes, I came home to no kitty on the porch. It turns out that he belongs to my downstairs neighbor. So, I was very glad to hear that is not a stray and he has a loving home. And the best news is...? These goggles. I purchased these babies from BoilerGoth and they are my new favorite. I love checking my mail and finding my Etsy purchases. Follow this link to read my feedback on these wonderful handmade goggles.

Kitty At The Door

It was so cute this morning when a little furry friend showed up at my doorstep. While I was at home cleaning and getting ready for work, when I heard the faint sounds of a cry. When I opened my front door and looked down, there was this sweet little grey kitty. He didn't have a collar on, but looked healthy and most likely--he had a home. I live on the second floor in my complex and I have a dog, so I don't know why this kitty liked my house, but he did. I couldn't let him in because of my doggy (pictured), so the kitty stayed outside, just at the top of the steps. I left for work, so I will see if he is still there when I get home. Cutie.

Blog Pause

Hello everyone,
I have been on hiatus with this blogging thing. But, I haven't forgotton about you. Just been so busy with 3 day jobs and of course sewing by night. I am a front desk receptionist in two different spots, a part time art teacher, and free lance clothing designer.
I would love to work full time as a teacher and gain experience the field of education. I recieved my substitute teaching certificate in the mail recently and that is so exciting. My next step is to decide on a school district. :) We have BIG plans baby!!
